Vials are an extremely important source of stat improvements in Idleon, but some are better than others and the requirements scale exponentially.
This is why it’s important to know what vials are available and what kind of buffs and boosts you can get from them.
The first thing you should know is how vial levels work, as each different vial requires the same amount of materials for each level, making it important to level each vial up at least a few levels as soon as possible.
Required material amounts for Vial levels
Idleon has 13 vial levels, indicated by the table below, but in most cases you should not thrive higher than level 10, until you are in very end game and have nothing better to do than grind materials.
As you might notice, that you only need 13,600 materials to reach the level 5 vial, which is less than half of the required materials for level 6.
This means you should try to upgrade all easy vials up to level 5 first, then grind high priority vials as high as possible in a reasonable time.
It is also good to realize that you will be able to get exponentially more materials as you progress through worlds, so while you might be getting only a few thousand kills per hour when you reach World 2, you will be getting a million kills per hour on World 1 mobs once you reach World 4.
This is why you shouldn’t grind for the higher level vials early on, but focus on progressing through the worlds first (and get the Kill Note in World 3, which benefits from grinding kills).
All Vials explained and upgrade priorities
You can find all the possible vials that can be currently activated and the main resource from which the material can be acquired.
The priority in the rightmost column is a general grade for the usefulness of the stat boost, but doesn’t consider too highly on how difficult the material is to obtain (except Pearler Shells which are very slow to collect and a few others).
You can easily sort the table by clicking on the headers!

The table contents should be fairly self-explanatory, but you will find some reasonings below as to why some are ranked fairly low.
Starting off with the cauldron speeds while they are nice boosts in the early game, once you get all 12 bubbles for each cauldron, these boosts become useless.
Card drop rate increase and liquid max capacities are decent upgrades, but can be easily scaled much higher through other means.
The shop sell price increase is so low that your main source of money will always be from fighting monsters and World 4 Colosseum. Base accuracy increase from flies is also very low, which is not worth the effort unless you really need more accuracy in early levels.
Cog inventory spaces are fairly unnecessary if you remember to claim and trash cogs actively.
As for the Pearler Shells, they are such a rare drop from Clammies that it does not justify spending them on vial levels, since they’re required for crafting some World 4 items.
As for all the C-rated vials, they are generally worth it, especially getting them to level 6-8, but they don’t need to be rushed to high levels as their bonuses wont have a massive impact on your progress.
New recipe cooking speed is also not very important as you only need to find each recipe once, so having a to wait a bit longer is not going to make a big difference as it only occupies one table.
Finally, when it comes to Ball Joe Pickle, it is a unique case as it can only be acquired from the Arcade in World 2 with extreme luck, as you first need to hit a ball into the purple (dementia) slot and then you have a 1% chance to acquire a single Ball Joe Pickle.
Some people have burned through tens of thousands of balls and never received a single one, so it is a very rare occurrence, thus you should not feel bad or obligated to get one. Arcade rewards in general have a very low reward rate anyway, so make sure to never waste gems on arcade balls.

World 5 Vials Explained
World 5 added 8 new vials to the mix, some of which are great and others not so much.
The best of the best vials which you should prioritize from W5 are definitely cooking and sailing speed as well as stamp material cost reduction.
The problem with cooking speed is that it needs Dreadlo bars, which are very slow to acquire, so you should prioritize making Dreadlo equipment and weapons before using them for the vial.
As for sailing speed, it should be leveled as soon as you reach OJ Bay, as it will speed up your sailing progress permanently and allow you to find artifacts faster.
Three of the vials only give more EXP, which is not worth the difficulty of obtaining the materials early on, but as for all other vials as well, can be levelled once you reach the very end game with nothing better to use your time on.
New World 6 Vials Explained
World 6 brought with it a whopping 10 new vials mostly focusing on buffing various W6 skills like farming, summoning and sneaking.
Farming Evolution chance is nice to upgrade early as you get better crop the longer they sit and have a chance to go through evolutions.
Ninja Untrying rate from Leafy Branches is not terrible, but you can boost it fast from various Jade Coin purchases so it is a fairly lame upgrade at +1.5% per level.
As for the Skill Efficiency vial from Godshards, it may sound good, but the bonus is not multiplicative meaning it won’t be a huge game changer and you will need A LOT of godshard bars for all the new recipes in the new Anvil Tab 6.
As for all the W6 skill EXP gain vials, they’re great because all the new skills give bonuses based on the skills level, meaning the faster you level up the skill, the higher all your gains will be!
